As of 1 November 2008, all wines kept at CWC Ltd (whether long term or monthly) are subject to a HK$0.40 per bottle, per month.

This insurance cover is compulsory and is thus automatically applied to all wine at, or entering our facilities.

All wines valued at HK$20,000 per bottle or more are subject to a HK$5 per bottle, per month charge.

 

WINE SHIPMENTS FROM THE UK & FRANCE


This highly efficient and cost effective service has become the most popular method for Fine Wine Lovers in Hong Kong to transport their wine in total security from the UK & France to Hong Kong.

This is a complete door-to-cellar service which requires the absolute minimum effort from the wine owner.

- Use of Temperature Controlled Containers only thus guaranteeing perfect provenance

- The best wine cellaring conditions available upon arrival in Hong Kong from HK$1 per bottle per month

- Guaranteed private ownership of all wine in CWC Cellars

All members should follow these simple directions, after-which CWC staff will take care of everything on your behalf.

  1. Contact your UK storage company or wine supplier via e-mail stating your intention to relocate your wine.

  2. Instruct them to release your wines to CWC or our appointed agent.

  3. Provide them with a list of which wines you would like to remove.

  4. Request that they issue sales invoice (if applicable) or a valuation invoice dated within the past 12 months, providing all details of the wine.

  5. Copy all correspondence to: gdeeb@crownwinecellars.com Please note that CWC is able to transport the wine from UK bond to HK bond.

Charges:

  1. Less than 48 bottles from any one location:
    Full Club Members - HK$35 per bottle + Collection Charges (if applicable);
    Non-Members HK$55 + Collection Charges (if applicable)

  2. More than 48 bottles but Less than 360 bottles from any one location:
    Full Club Members - HK$30 per bottle + Collection Charges (if applicable);
    Non-Members HK$50 + Collection Charges (if applicable)

  3. More than 360 bottles but Less than 1,200 bottles from any one location:
    Full Club Members - HK$25 per bottle;
    Non-Members HK$35

  4. More than 1,200 bottles but Less than 3,600 bottles from any one location:
    Full Club Members - HK$20 per bottle;
    Non-Members HK$30

  5. More than 3,600 bottles from any one location:
    Full Club Members - HK$15 per bottle;
    Non-Members HK$25
Insurance IS CHARGED AT 1.8% of the DECLARED VALUE OF THE WINE.
NEW LAY-FLAT BOXES INTRODUCED


CWC has just taken delivery of our new in-house lay-flat boxes. The boxes have the following special design features:

  • Additional strength

  • 6-bottle size for easy handling

  • Efficient built-in bottle separators

  • Lay-flat design for long-term cellaring
