A Rare Invitation
An Exclusive Tasting of the World’s Finest Wine

Henri Jayer • Petrus • Domaine de la Romanée-Conti • and more

Friday, 7 November 2025

La Goutte d’Or (The Golden Dew), in collaboration with L’Association Internationale des Vins Rares et Vieux Millésimes (International Association of Rare and Old Wines), is pleased to present its 2nd Exclusive Wine Dinner in Hong Kong, to be held on Friday, 7 November 2025, at Crown Wine Cellars.

This dinner will feature a carefully curated selection of rare and notable wines from the Association’s private collections, chosen for their quality and provenance.

Each bottle has been transported directly from the Association’s cellars in France to Hong Kong to ensure its best condition.

The evening will be guided by Ms. Ting Ding, an experienced rare-wine expert and investment advisor, who will provide commentary and tasting guidance in both English and Mandarin.

This dinner is reserved for only ten guests, offering an intimate and focused tasting experience.

Inspired by the legendary spirit of “The Duel of Mount Hua” (Hua Shan Lun Jian, 华山论剑), this extraordinary evening pays homage to the artistry and legacy of the world’s most revered wines — Henri Jayer, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Petrus, and beyond.

Each bottle embodies a unique philosophy of perfection —a timeless duel between terroir, time, and craftsmanship —inviting connoisseurs on a transcendent voyage that celebrates mastery, honor, and the eternal pursuit of excellence.

Ms. Ding Ting, vice president of the Association and expert in rare wine authentication.

L’Association Internationale des Vins Rares et Vieux Millésimes (International Association of Rare and Old Wines)traces its spiritual origin back to the golden age of 19th-century Burgundy.

Dr. Jules Lavalle — the visionary scholar and founder of Burgundy’s terroir classification system — gathered intellectuals, artists, and statesmen around an intimate wine salon he created in Dijon. Among its distinguished guests were Victor Hugo, Gustave Courbet, and many of the era’s cultural luminaries.

This salon was not merely a place to taste wine, but a forum where ideas about art, philosophy, and the spirit of terroir intertwined — celebrating wine as a living expression of nature, culture, and human craftsmanship.

More than a century later, in the 2010s, Mr. Olivier de Cayron, a descendant of Dr. Lavalle, revived this heritage. Inspired by his ancestor’s philosophy and devotion to Burgundy’s terroirs, he founded the Association to preserve, promote, and transmit the cultural and historical legacy of fine wine.

Today, the Association curates exclusive tastings, high-level conferences, and private events designed to deepen appreciation for historic vintages and legendary terroirs. These experiences not only educate but also bring together a global community of collectors, professionals, and cultural ambassadors, united by a shared reverence for the timeless art of wine.
