VIP Opening Dinner
Crown Wine Cellars is honoured to have hosted the VIP Reception & Welcome Dinner for the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) International Sustainability Forum Hong Kong 2025.
HKQAA has been striving to develop schemes to promote best practices of sustainability, climate risk management and responsible investment. They have been encouraging organisations and industries in fostering the sustainable development of Hong Kong since 1989. In previous years, Mr Ban Ki-moon, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations; Mr Eric Usher, Head of The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative; Mr Martin Skancke, Member of Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures; Ms Annette L. Nazareth, Chair of the Integrity Counsel for the Voluntary Carbon Market; Ms Teresa Ko, BBS, JP, Co-vice Chair of IFRS Foundation; Dr Jeffrey Hales, Board Member of International Sustainability Standards Board, and leaders from renowned regulatory and international bodies were keynote speakers at these HKQAA forums and symposia.
The 2025 event was attended by senior officials and guests from Mainland China and the Belt and Road countries including Mr Tse Chin-wan, BBS, JP, Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Christopher Hui, GBS, JP, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, and Mr Chen Gang, Acting SG of BRI International Green Development Coalition as the officiating guests. Hundreds of government officials, senior executives of major corporations, financial institutions, organisations, trade associations, professional institutions and scholars also attended the event.
Numerous special guests and speakers joined the VIP Reception & Welcome Dinner at CWC including Mr Wei Dunsheng, Deputy Mayor of Nanping Municipal People’s Government; Dr Zhang Jianyu, Chief Development Officer of BRI International Green Development Coalition; Professor Liu Yifang of Central University of Finance and Economics and representatives from Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. CWC Company Principal Mr Gregory DE ‘ EB presented the welcome and key-note speech about the successful revitalisation and adaptive reuse of CWC and “Little Hong Kong”, while highlighting CWC’s highly successful sustainability initiatives that resulted in CWC’s award as Hong Kong’s most sustainable SME. The event was extremely successful drawing praise from the HKQAA and international guests alike.
