Remembrance Day Poppy Appeal 2025

The Royal British Legion (RBL), Hong Kong & China Branch is a registered Hong Kong charity. The RBL is dedicated to providing support to all of Hong Kong’s Ex Service men and women as well as their families, with welfare, financial, social, emotional care, and comradeship. The RBL is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal, its emblem of the red poppy and the annual Remembrance Sunday ceremony, which this year will be on 9th November. All beneficiaries of the donations received and of the ongoing welfare programmes, served in Hong Kong and are residents of Hong Kong.
Each year, requests for the RBL assistance steadily increases. Many of those who served now face challenges associated with advanced age, declining health, and isolation. A significant number now require additional support, including widows left to raise children after the loss of their spouse.
You are also most welcome to join CWC at 10.45am on Sunday 9th November at the Cenotaph, Central to observe the 2mins silence, laying of the wreaths and reflecting on those that gave their today so that we could have a tomorrow.
In the weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday, Crown Wine Cellars will help to collect members’ donations and to distribute a Poppy Flower lapel pin. The Poppy box is located in the Conservatory for all members to donate and collect a Poppy.
You can also make a charitable contribution either by cheque or directly into the RBL HSBC account via FPS. Donations of HK$100 or more are tax deductible. If you require a receipt, you can request it when you post your cheque or you can email: enquire@rbl.hk.
Cheques should be made payable to “The Royal British Legion.” Please attach the “Receipt Request” below.
